Walking holiday in Vendsyssel
Trees that have been blown crooked by the Western wind, beautiful sandy beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see, soft dunes and authentic local environments. That is what Vendsyssel is like.
From Fjerritslev and all the way up to Skagen you will find a range of beautiful wood paths in plantations with names from times gone by: Langdal, Tranum, Tornby, Uggerby og Tversted Klitplantage.
The scenery is influenced by the drifting sand, that has shaped western and made it difficult to grow crops from the soil. You will encounter the old fishing culture, which can still be seen in small coastal villages like Slettestrand, where trawlers are placed on the beach.
On an Oh So Quiet-walk in the north-western corner of Denmark, you can let both legs and mind wander.
